Building on a deep understanding of psychology and the needs of the corporate world, the UP’N’CHANGE team is digitalizing coaching expertise and removing existing barriers when it comes to accessing support for individuals and large workforces.

Gabriele and Barbara – what inspired you to think about digitalising coaching and to basically coach without a coach?
Gabriele: I realised that executive coaching was helping people in an effective and quick way but that a lot of people were not making use of this help due to:
- Lack of time
- Lack of funds/money
- Shame, having to speak about issues, sometimes even over and over again
- Fear of finding something out which could be demanding
- Distance – as coaches were only easily accessible to people in Vienna
- Often waking up at night with no access to support
In August 2017, all of this erupted in a sudden spark of creativity: “I am going to digitize my executive coaching experience”.
Barbara: At the beginning of 2019 I was motivated to develop a scalable business model to provide high-quality coaching to anyone who needs it and to address the strategic issue of emotional competence in leadership. I wasn’t able to wrap my mind around the fact that the cost of miscommunication and lack of teamwork in enterprises was evident to so many yet no one was addressing this issue at a basic level.
