We have reached a pivotal moment in business life, where both the way we operate and the products we develop are going through a huge transformation. In fact, we will see more change in the next five years than we have experienced in the last 50 years. Some of the drivers for change are rapidly advancing technology, new customer needs and socio-political factors. How can organisations not only survive, but continually excel and flourish under pressure?
Where Change meets Mindset
Traditionally, organisations wait until they are hit by crisis and then initiate transformation projects based on short term goals to fix emerging challenges. For example, they initiate a change to their cost structure, attempt to eliminate inefficiencies in the operation and their reporting structure, or in the worst case add products to their portfolio because the competition has them as well. However, in many cases the result of these change projects are narrow and deliver only short-term gains.
