We met with Frederick Chavalit Tsao, Chairman of IMC Pan Asia Alliance Group and founder of Octave and co-author of the book Quantum Leadership, to talk about his mindful-based approach to leadership and how he runs multi-billion-dollar corporation.
Interview by Declan Noone & Armin Forstner
Mr. Tsao, holistic wellbeing is one of the key foundations of your book.
Yes, as we move further into the 21st century, we find ourselves in a new era focused on wellbeing. With this new era comes new challenges, and much like our ancestors who first encountered the previous era of industrialisation, we must create and implement a new paradigm to face these challenges. This new paradigm will serve as a model for our culture as we seek to adapt to and thrive in the wellbeing economy. As Einstein said, “We cannot solve problems with the same level of consciousness that created it”. To this end, the science of consciousness must become a pillar of mainstream science, and shifting consciousness will become the solution to all the challenges posed by this new era. We believe that consciousness is the mother of all capital.
This paradigm shift comes with a challenge of education and enlightenment, as well as the need to develop the motivation and creativity necessary to act upon this knowledge. Wellbeing is a holistic process of internal (self) and external (environment) alignment. Therefore, if you change yourself, the world will change around you. We know when we are well, and one is only well when all is well. This means that our family, friends, community, business, society and environment must be well for us to feel holistic wellbeing. After all, life is all there is. So, when this happens, we have aligned our unconscious self with the collective holistic consciousness, where purpose, focus and action are aligned to the different levels of the mind.

What is Quantum Leadership?
To understand this, we must first understand the ideas behind the quantum paradigm, which scientists have discovered as the following: first, the world is an intrinsically whole quantum system, where all things are connected. In this system, everything that meets our eyes are sets and clusters of ordered and coherent vibrations. Second, the universe’s parameters are precisely correlated and are finely tuned together and consistent with the system’s overall dimensions. Third, this finely tuned, connected system is the basis of all things. Clusters of vibrations form each level of formation, and higher levels of complexity and coherence lead to higher-level forms such as life. Fourth, evolution is the continual, universal build-up of these systems in space and time. Therefore, it is not about passive adaptation to an environment, but rather the active exploration of the rungs of complexity and coherence that make up space and time.
