When you throw a stone into the middle of a quiet lake, you immediately see the ripple effect on the water’s surface. In a social context, it is more difficult to follow the ripples from the actions you take or the interactions you have with other people. In any case, every time we have an interaction with another person or send them a newsletter, it might trigger a reaction, create a ripple. But when hosting a summit for a hundred people, you know that there will be more than just one ripple.
Last October, we hosted our third annual Positive & Mindful Leader Summit, the face-to-face version of our publication. The ripple effect was one of the topics we discussed throughout the day, and how we as leaders will need to make sure to send as many positive ripples as possible; but more about that later.
